Pinecrest Homestead
Wayne French submitted a photo of the home of his Great
Great Grandfather Silas Corydon FRENCH
built on the banks of the
Vermilion River on Route 303, approximately 2 miles east of Wakeman.
The home was finished somewhere in the years 1772-1774.
It was sold
from the family by his grandfather Winthrop Beecher FRENCH in 1942.
